Windows from Microsoft is a series of operating systems and graphical interfaces. Microsoft inserted windows for the first time on the market in November 1985 like an add on for MS-DOS operating system. Windows reached to be the world leader on personal computers market overcoming the Mac OS. Starting with October 2009, Windows had about 91% of the share market on client OS.

The most recent version of client Windows is Windows 7. The most recent of Windows Server is Windows Server 2008 R2. The most recent version for mobile devices is Windows Mobile 6.5.
