SATA connector

Serial ATA computer bus or SATA is a storing interface used to connect storing devices like hard disks and optical units. Nowadays most laptops and motherboards have incorporated the hosted connector SATA|.

The SATA connector was projected to replace the old connector ATA (AT Attachment) known as EIDE (Enhanced Integrated Drive Electronics) or PATA (Parallel ATA). PATA is capable to use the same low level commands but SATA communicate using a high speed serial cable.
