Pipeline

A pipeline is a channel of parallel processing. In computers projecting, the pipeline is an assembly line that increases substantially the speed of reading , execution and writing instructions. Mostly used in UNIX the pipeline structure was inserted in Intel 80486. Intel 80486 microprocessor has two pipeline structures, one for data and one for instructions.
