Panda Security

Panda Security LS, ex Panda Software, is a security company founded in 1990 by the ex CEO of Panda, Mikel Urizarbarrena in Bilbao town. The company was initially focused on producing antivirus software but later expanded its activities currently including firewall, anti-spam, anti-spyware, managing system tools, security tools and detecting WiFi intrusions tools.
There are two editions of Panda Antivirus: home and business.

General presentation
In 2005 Panda Security was the fourth biggest antivirus in the world with a market rate of 3.2%.
The company was quoted as being one of the most fast growth from 500 European companies in 1997. In 1998 the company became leader in Europe and in 2003 registers an increase of 1000% of its revenues worldwide.
Panda Security has clients in 200 countries and bureaus in 50, like: Uruguay, USA, Canada, Germany, China, Great Britain, France, Thailand, Greece, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Peru, Bulgaria, Pakistan, Poland, Turkey , Slovakia, Slovenia şi Switzerland. In 2003 Panda Security reached Japan, Argentina, Korea and Australia.
Panda Security is evaluated by Gartner's analysts as being an innovative technology.
At the end of 2009 Panda Security created a trusted partnership with the web trust to help fighting viruses war.
Panda Security launched a new security service based on cloud protecting small and middle enterprises against internet threats including botnet, phishing, scripts, cross-site and other Web 2.0 attacks.
