  • Supplying exact information regarding pedophile material exchange appeared in those systems (for both general public and specialists).
  • Helping law enforcement institutions and NGOs to fight against material exchange with pedophile content;
  • Realizing rigorous measurements and analyzing peer-to-peer exchange.

Current situation

Many studies have shown that a large quantity of pedophile content is distributed to P2P file change systems. It was also shown that the quantity of these changes is in constant increase. A group of french workers published in 2005 a study about pedophile content available online. This space shows the fact that french authorities observe daily between 10 and 20 people involved in significant P2P file change with pedophile content. According to another report realized by children protection written at french family ministry's request the number of pedophile files available online is between 200.000 and 1 million. This may be easily checked by any user by simply searching key words on a P2P filtering software.

Such a large quantity of pedophile content and the easy access to it makes the current situation very disturbing for P2P users, especially for children and teenagers.
