Intel is the largest corporation that produces semiconductor chips in the world. The Intel Company is the inventor of the x86 microprocessors which can be found in the most PCs.
Intel was founded on July 18 1968 under the name "Integrated Electronics Corporation" with the headquarter in Santa Clara, California, USA. Its founders are Robert Noyce, Gordon Moore and Andrew Grove.
Intel also produces motherboard chipsets, controllers for network interfaces, integrated circuits, flash memories, graphic chips, integrated processors and other devices for computers and communications.
