IP address

An IP address is a numerical label assigned to devices part of one computer network using as communication mean Internet protocol. An IP address has two main functions inside a computer network:
- host or identifier of network interface;
- addressing location.
Each computer (known as host) on the Internet has a least one unique IP address identifying it from other online computers.
