Favicon

Short for favorite icons the favicon is a small icon used by some browsers to identify a certain site or web pages. It's also known as: website icon, shortcut icon, URL icon or bookmark icon.

This has different sizes: 16 x 16, 32 x 32 or 64 x 64 pixels.

The browsers that supports this kind of format display the favicon in the address bar, near the site address.
