DVI (Digital Visual Interface) is a video interface standard designed to offer high video quality on a digital display device like a flat computer screen, LCD and digital projectors. It was developed by industry consortium DDWG (Digital Display Working Group). It was designed to transport video digital uncompressed data to a screen; it's partially compatible with HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) standard in digitally (DVI-D) and analogical (DVI-A) mode.
