COSPOL has several working groups and one of them is CIRCAMP - COSPOL Internet Related Child Abusive Material Project which has as purpose children safety over the internet.

The main purpose of this work group is to shut down organized crime networks which offer children sexual abuse material trough pay-per-view websites. They also aim to stop the access to images and videos depicting sexual abuse of children which is accessible from any computer or device connected to internet all over the world.

Their trying:

  • To prevent the re-victimization of children who are or have been the victim of abuse;
  • To prevent accidental access to illegal and harmful content by the public;
  • To prevent deliberate access to child abuse material on the Internet;
  • To reduce the customer base of these illegal websites with the assistance of participating Internet Service Providers (ISP).

CIRCAMP's base activities are increasing awareness regarding sites, images or materials depicting children abuse all over the internet and encourage public to use filtering technologies to prevent the distribution of children pornography materials. Within the UK this role is performed by the Internet Watch Foundation.
