Sigur.info blog was launched at January 11 2010. The blog is developed in Sigur.info project, coming as an addition to Sigur.info Forum and Sigur.info portal. Here, children and teens have the possibility to create their own online content where to express their opinions and ideas regarding aspects of their virtual life.

The official launch was made by starting the contest "Surf safe on Sigur.info blog". Children and young with age between 10 and 21 were invited to participate with written and/or multimedia materials. In these materials they had to present the most interesting experiences they had on the internet. The contest was on for three months (January - April 2010) on two age categories: 10-15 years and 16-21 years. Each week Sigur.info team designated 2 winners (one for each age category) and gave as prizes IT products (ECDL accreditation, antivirus licenses, MP3 players, keyboards, etc.). One of the selection criteria being the popularity degree of the materials between blog's visitors.

The purpose of the blog is to offer children and teens the possibility to express their opinions trough their creations.
