Anti-spyware

Anti-spyware is a software that fights against spyware. It scans all the data sent by the spyware software and blocks spyware attacks or deletes spyware files.
There are many anti-spyware software in the market but among the most popular are: Lavasoft’s Ad Aware SE, Spybot – Search & Destroy. On December 16 2004, Microsoft acquired GIANT AntiSpyware software recalling it Windows AntiSpyware beta. In 2006 Windows called the beta version Windows Defender and it was launched with a free license for Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Anti-spyware software fight spyware in 2 ways:
- Offering protection in real time against installing spyware software on the computer. The anti-spyware software scans all the data received in the network from spyware software and blocks any threats.
- Anti-spyware software may be used exclusively for detecting and stopping spyware software already installed on the computer. Normally this kind of protection is easier to use and more popular. It may be realized schedules of computer scanning: daily or monthly. It scans the windows registry (system files of OS) and offers a list of all threatens found allowing the user to choose if they are kept or deleted.
